GM Nameplate is testing some UV resistant outdoor label constructions. We are having some great results with ink jet printed labels on vinyl material and an Acrylate laminate. GM Nameplate has done over 2000 hours of UV testing with great success. See the attached photo’s for images of the test results. The areas that are unchanged in color have the Acrylate laminate. The areas that show two very dark rectangular images are where the label was exposed without the Acrylate laminate. This testing is after 2000 hours. We are continuing to test so more results will be posted soon.
