Challenge:
Designing the tactile user interface to be incorporated in a pre-designed bezel. Recessing the surface mount LEDs on the membrane layer. Integrating the fiberoptic lighting.
Solution:
Dedicated design engineers who worked closely with the customer's engineers ensured continuity of design. Recommended engineering and manufacturing adjustments to increase the shield thickness without altering the tactile feel or adversely affecting the overall thickness of the membrane assembly.
