GM Nameplate, a leading manufacturing solutions provider, announced today that it has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for its China division.
This division is located in the Wanjiang district of Dongguan city in the southern province of Guangdong and produces screen printed labels, nameplates and die cut components.
TUV Rheinland, a leading quality management systems registrar, certified the China division in March. As part of the certification process, TUV Rheinland performed on-site assessments, examined the company's procedures and documentation and audited its overall operations. To determine continued compliance with ISO 9001:2000, TUV Rheinland will conduct annual audits of this manufacturing facility, along with GM Nameplate’s other facilities in North America and Asia.
“Meeting our customer’s needs is our driving force for gaining ISO certification,” stated Erwin Limowa, President of GM Nameplate - China Division. “Our customers were eager for us to become certified,” continued Limowa. “We are proud of this achievement that underscores GM Nameplate’s commitment to deliver best-in-class service to our customers, worldwide.”
ISO standards are internationally recognized as a template for organizing a quality management system that encompasses company operations including training, understanding and meeting customer requirements, purchasing materials and supplies, and delivering quality products and services.
