GM Nameplate Highlights Plastic Capabilities with
Elite Plastics
GM Nameplate, a leading manufacturing solutions provider, announced today the renaming of their Oregon Division to Elite Plastics. This rebranding to Elite Plastics highlights the extensive plastic molding and decorating expertise provided by this division of GM Nameplate.
Located in Beaverton, Oregon, Elite Plastics offers a wide selection of plastic and elastomer molding and associated services. Primary processes include plastic injection and rubber compression molding, in-mold decoration (IMD) and rubber over-molding. Secondary decorating processes include robotic controlled spray painting, screen and pad printing, hot stamping, laser etching, and mechanical assembly. Elite Plastics also provides value–added capabilities such as product design assistance, tool design and mold flow analysis. Other in-house capabilities include tool building, mold automation, fixturing and implementation of engineering changes.
These services plus the seamless integration of value-added capabilities (i.e. membrane switches, nameplates, graphic overlays, etc.) provided by other GM Nameplate divisions, justify the elite value of this new brand.
“The number of GM Nameplate customers requesting specialty plastic molding or decorating has increased significantly in recent years,” stated Dan Thurmond, President of the Elite Plastics division, “We can best grow our business and support our customers with this re-branding that emphasizes all of the value-added plastic and elastomer capabilities we supply.”
The Elite Plastics division, originally acquired by GM Nameplate in 1995, is housed in a modern 45,000 square foot facility. Originally dedicated to only injection and compression molding, it has expanded its expertise to become a full service plastics-dedicated facility.
