GM Nameplate China Division Manufacturing Facilities Unaffected by Summer Olympics
GM Nameplate, a leading manufacturing solutions provider, anticipates joining the rest of the world to watch the Olympic Games taking place in Beijing, China this summer.
The Chinese government has promoted the games as highlighting China's emergence on the world stage, and GM Nameplate agrees. China’s importance in Asia and the world is rising, which is one of the reasons the company located thier second Asia division there, in 2006.
GM Nameplate has recently received several inquiries regarding possible impacts the games may have on their China division. The division is located in Dongguan City, 2,400 miles south of Beijing, where the games will be held. The distance from Beijing and GM Nameplate’s China division location in the Wanjiang Xin He Industrial Park, near a major port, ensure there will be no impact to their production schedules and no shipping issues due to the Olympic Games.
The China division continues to schedule production of metal badges, nameplates, labels, printed graphic overlays and die-cut components.
GM Nameplate provides manufacturing, design and prototyping services to the majority of its customers through its U.S. divisions. GM Nameplate divisions in China and Singapore provide manufacturing and assembly services to customers that require “local” Asia-based manufacturing, coupled with design and engineering support provided through the GM Nameplate U.S. divisions.
