Rubber Keypad
A rubber keypad is a complete front panel assembly integrating an elastomer keypad with an underlying switching layer. The switching layer may be a flexible membrane circuit or a rigid printed circuit board. The shorting mechanism may be either a carbon pill molded into the keypad or a metal dome assembled under the keypad.
Rubber keypads provide excellent performance in a wide variety of conditions including several design options to fit your keypad application. They are compression molded parts that are used in conjunction with a printed circuit board.
